Is it really that difficult to understand the most basic instructions?

I don't know about you, but to me, everything about where this car is parked screams 'not a parking space'.
This is one of the things that irks me about so many people today. They can't understand the most basic instructions. This obviously isn't a parking space - it's part of the through-lane in the parking lot. Yet almost every day I see someone parked there. You'll notice the perfectly usable, empty, ACTUAL parking bay right next to this one, but no - to save a second of walking, this person decided it would better to inconvenience everyone by blocking the road and making everyone go around them. Whoever they are, I can smell the entitlement from here.
I see the same with all manner of other signs - people who park in handicap spaces but aren't handicapped (we have one of those at my office). People who turn left into one-way traffic when it's obvious that all the traffic is coming towards them and all the signs indicated 'don't turn left'. You'd think the future would be bright for drone cars with this many idiots on the road - I mean the drone car won't make those mistakes, right? Probably not, but the idiot INSIDE the drone car won't be able to follow the most basic instructions on how to operate it....

Hey Chris,

It's not that they don't understand, it's just that they never ever ever give a crap about anything else but themselves. Try and reason with one of them, see what happens.

In that person's "defence", I could imagine the parking lot being full upon their arrival (the space on his right included). He's choice is poor though, because he obstructs traffic, more so because he's on the corner.
In my town we have a major problem with parking spaces in certain areas. So it is common that people park wherever they can (a.k.a. wherever they dare :) ). Sometimes it happens that some of the cars leave, so other will appear to be poorly parked with much better choice of places around them.
Now, don't get me wrong, I really don't condone their behaviour. It's just that I understand their reasoning.

Of course, as Andrei said above, there are also not-so-respectful people, who would choose to park wrongly just so that they don't have to walk more than 10 meters. I see them all the time near supermarket entrances or near schools, all crammed as close to the doors as possible, even if there are parking spaces 4 car lengths away. The same people will pass entire lines of cars on the lane on the right just so the can get in front for a left turn.
The examples can continue, but I fear I don't have the whole day to list them. :)

Now, coming back to drone cars, I think the manufacturers/programmers could make them as stupid-proof as possible. So even a monkey could operate them. :) Oh, wait... What if a kid manages to fool the car into driving him somewhere? (Did I just compare a kid to a monkey?! :D )
