I h...Agree and disagree with you on this one Chris.
I have been a fan of TG for many years. I watched it when I lived in NZ and continued to do so when we came to the US. I agree that the BBC have had in for JC for some time and were just waiting for him to step out of line (again?). Some of the previous occassions where he has been smacked on the knuckles were bogus. They know it, we know it.
This time, however, I'm not so sure JC is without blame. From a report I read:
http://www.stuff.co.nz/motoring/news/67326563/top-gears-jeremy-clarkson-lashed-out-over-steak
...it appears that Jeremy was the reason they were late because he wanted to have a drink at a local pub. And that a hot meal had been arranged but because they were late (two hours, after a few drinks) the kitchen had closed. Food was available along the lines of cold cuts and cheese platters.
If all this is true then I believe JC acted out of line. If they were all late because he wanted to have a few at the local pub then he has no reason to complain, and to do so in the manor he did is not acceptable. No-one deserves to be spoken to in the way JC spoke to Tymon.
My 2c...Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15041821712022471596noreply@blogger.com
